Editorial policy
How Fret Bench researches, compares, and updates gear.
Fret Bench editorial standards for product selection, affiliate independence, exact-model links, corrections, and update cadence.
Selection standards
Products are selected for fit with guitar maintenance kit, guitar setup tools, guitar humidifier, guitar string changing kit, guitar cleaning kit and the setup categories musicians actually need. We explain the buyer job, tradeoffs, compatibility questions, and who should keep comparing.
Evidence and claims
We use manufacturer documentation, exact retailer product pages, established category knowledge, and practical setup logic. We do not claim hands-on testing unless it occurred, and we do not manufacture testimonials, ratings, specifications, or scarcity.
Affiliate independence
Amazon product links may use music-stores03-20. Commission eligibility does not guarantee placement, a favorable description, or inclusion in a guide. Sponsored or supplied-product relationships must be disclosed if they are ever introduced.
Corrections and freshness
Broken links, model mismatches, discontinued items, unclear compatibility notes, and factual errors are corrected when found. The portfolio review date is 2026-10-29; evergreen guides are revisited when the buying path materially changes.
